Vacation Bible School (VBS)
In 2022, over 80 pre-school through 6th graders participated in our Gotta' Move VBS.
At Gotta' Move, kids learned what it means to walk with closely with God. They sang and danced to upbeat songs, made new friends, and enjoyed great snacks and activities, while diving deep into God's Word. Click on the video to see a brief recap.
Check back early Spring to learn when VBS will happen in 2023!
One of our more popular outreach events is our Annual Sportsman's Banquet, typically held mid-March. For over ten years, we have invited sportsmen (and women) to join us for a delicous game dinner.
The church supplies side dishes, beverages and desserts, but we do ask our sportsmen to provide their favorite game dishes. We have tasted everything from alligator to venison and everything in between.
Besides great food, guests hear an inspiring story from our guest speaker's experience in the outdoors and have an opportunity to share some of their own experiences around the tables.
There is no cost for the event and all are welcome to attend.
Stay tuned for more information on next year's event.
Trunk & Treat
Our Trunk and Treat has become a very popular event for local families because it is a safe place for kids to have some fun.
The past two years 250-300 kids have participated in our Trunk & Treat. Of course, kids get candy, but we also offer fun activities, including a scavenger hunt this year, where they can win prizes.
Job Fair & Volunteer Expo
Our first Job Fair & Volunteer Expo took place on April 25, 2023. This was a great experience with 34 vendors coming to solicit workers and volunteers. People landed jobs, applied for jobs, had resumes prepared, had interviews scheduled, found volunteer opportunities... There were lots of connections made.
It was a win-win for all involved! Keep your eye open for our next event.
Here is the event publication with names of vendors if you are looking for a job 🙂 .
